Geography

Here at Pool, we are developing children’s knowledge and skills in geographical application, so that they grow and mature as individuals and citizens by developing their personal capabilities, values, and moral codes, allowing them to participate in society and to apply the insights learned in geography. Through our cornerstone Christian values, we aim to:

Develop compassionate who use geography as a tool to make sense of our world. We want children at Pool to understand how to take care of their local and wider environment and how their actions have an impact on the world around them.

We aim to develop the children’s problem-solving skills. We will teach children that perseverance is important to get you through the challenge and spending the time and effort when it's needed keeps you from a more difficult outcome later.

Provide a high-quality geography education that inspires pupils’ curiosity and fascination about the world and its people, that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

We aim to develop children’s understanding of the complexity of our world, appreciating the diversity of cultures that exists across continents and how we respect them. We want to create positive, respectful local and global citizens.
