Childnet Digital Leaders Programme - online safety peer education logo

We are very excited to begin training some of our pupils on the Childnet Digital Leader Programme from October 2023. This programme equips young people to be effective Digital Leaders and helps to inspire the safe, positive and creative use of technology in the school and community.

Throughout the training and programme, our leaders will gain key skills and knowledge, including: online safety knowledge; communication, presentation and teaching skills; leadership skills; self-efficacy and confidence; and teamwork and planning skills.
Safer Internet Day

Our Digital Leaders presented an assembly on 'Online Identity'. They then went around each class teaching age relevant aspects of online safety. There was also a competition for children to create their own Online Safety Superhero. The children were creative and had some fantastic ideas.

Internet Safety Day 2018

On Internet Safety Day 2018, our Digital leaders produced Powerpoints to share with other pupils about being safe on the Internet. Archie, Emily and Oliver teamed up with Digital Leaders from other schools in our cluster to tour around delivering their Powerpoints. Leah and Milly presented their Powerpoint to Reception and Key Stage One at our school. As part of Internet Safety Day 2017, our new Digital Leaders ran a competition for pupils to produce a bookmark or poster which included key internet safety messages.
