Learning Mentor

Part Time – Mon-Fri; 08:50-12:30

Temporary post due to staffing restructure

       18.35 hours per week; B1 Pt.13 £9.01 p/hr

       Start date: Tuesday 8 January 2019

       End date: Friday 19 July 2019


   Here at Pool, our mission statement ‘Believe and Achieve’ is at the heart of everything we do.     We are looking to appoint a temporary Learning Mentor to join our happy, skilled and committed team, to cover a period of maternity leave (the length of which is currently unknown).

   The successful candidate will:

  • Support the social and emotional development of a young child with severe anxiety
  • Have successful experience of working with SEN/D children
  • Have knowledge of mental health issues and strategies to overcome these
  • Be a team player who is committed to the aims and ethos of our school
  • Have a positive, consistent approach to working with young children
  • Be able to work under supervision and also use their own initiative
  • Have a good written and verbal communication skills
