Wednesday 13th March
Thank you to those who attended the Herd Farm meeting this evening. For those who couldn't, Herd Farm videos are available on U Tube for you to look at. I have uploaded a list of equipment on the Class Letters page and will be sending out a hard copy of this letter. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will try to obtain any relevant info for you.
Sunday 3rd March
P.E days this half-term fall on a Wednesday and Thursday. Please ensure you child has the appropriate P.E kit for this term. Thank you.
Also, Learning Pools were given out this Friday for the new half term. If your child did not have their Learning Pool in school, they were given 2 relevant sheets. Please ask you child if they have now stuck them into their Learning Pool book and if they haven't, can you please ask them to do so.
Sunday 11th November
Polite Notice: As the weather has taken a colder turn and is more Autumnal i.e. showery, I am politely reminding you to make sure your children have suitable waterproof coats for the weather. Also, children will be in the Peace Garden this Monday and then alternative weeks Tuesdays. Please make sure they have wellington boots, as most seem to be relying upon their trainers which are for P.E only. Thanks :)
A text was sent to ask the children to bring in a cereal box as they are making periscopes as part of their topic work on light, this term.
Thursday 18th September
Please note, there will be no new spellings issued in the last week. I will be doing a random spelling test on all spellings covered this half-term the first day back of the holidays to see what the children have retained/remembered.
As part of the half-termly reading assessments, I will be hearing each child read on an individual basis and change bands accordingly next week. This will be in the place of Guided Reading.
Tuesday 4th September
The children have made a fabulous start to Year 4 and are settling in well to some new routines.
They looked so smart as they came into school on their first day!
Just a reminder that as the weather starts to get cooler or even wetter for that matter, that the children will be more comfortable with a warm waterproof coat.
We have already visited the Peace garden this week in our Outdoor Learning slot. The children tried very hard to make friendship bracelets. Week 1 was on Monday and Week 2 will be on Tuesdays. This will be alternated and children will be expected to bring their wellies in on those days. I will try to remember to remind them on the Friday or the Monday to bring their wellies into school.
They were really exited to have their own trays in class to organise their schoolwork.
Reading books and reading records have already been issued. Please remember to encourage your child to read at home and ask them questions about the text whenever possible.
Sunday 16th September
We will be having a road safety training day this Friday. Letters will be coming home on Monday for you to sign permission for your child to take part. Please return them to me asap, thank you.
Children will also need their wellies and a suitable coat for the Peace Garden Activity this Monday.
